While the Kimball approach is based on the star schema and the dimensional model, the essence of the Inmon approach being the "single version of the truth". DW 2.0 - What is it, and how is it applied?
There are many different interesting applications of the DW 2.0 architectural approach, and it is possible to start to include textual data into the data architecture. Potential applications include reading and managing large amounts of contracts, documenting legacy applications and systems, and reading healthcare documents and lists and organizing the raw text into a standard relational database.
